Overview of the SCEDSL League
The Southern California EXTRA Developmental Soccer League (SCEDSL) is a competitive youth soccer league designed to support AYSO's EXTRA program within Southern California, specifically covering AYSO Sections 1, 10, and 11. The league is structured to provide a higher level of play and development for players and teams that have demonstrated advanced skills and commitment. Started in 2023, the league is now comprised of almost 400 teams, 4,000+ players across Southern California.

- SCEDSL is an AYSO gaming circuit exclusively for AYSO EXTRA teams.
- The league is organized to optimize competitive balance and player experience, moving beyond traditional Section boundaries to create the best possible matchups.
- The league includes age divisions from 9U to 16U for both boys and girls.
- The league consists of a Fall regular season and a postseason State Cup tournament. There is no combined SCEDSL Spring circuit, though individual Sections may host their own Spring leagues.
